I currently do not have availability to begin work with new clients. I’ll update this website when this changes.

Through the process of therapy, we can make sense of your experiences together.

This can empower you to grow and make positive changes in the future.

My Approach

I’m here to help you reach a deeper understanding of your situation and emotional inner life. From such a place of understanding, it can be possible to see ways to create positive changes in the future.

My role is without judgement or advice-giving. I hope to be in conversation with you about whatever you bring to our sessions. Together we might think about what brings you to therapy, work through challenges, or explore new ways of being to help you change behaviours or relationships.

I practice psychodynamic psychotherapy, which means I believe both our past and present relationships and experiences shape who we are.

Sometimes words are not enough to express what we are going through. Some people find it helpful to share how they feel without having to use words. If this were the case for you, I welcome you sharing how you feel though different forms of expression. This could be by sharing something you found or made – be it an image, poem, movement, or song.

Kailo is an ancient European word meaning to be “whole, healthy and connected”.

Therapy can help you enrich these qualities in your life. For each person this word will have its own unique meaning. Through our work together I hope to help you explore what your own ‘kailo’ is, and how to kindle it in your life.

Consultation

The consultation process offers you time to see whether you’d like to begin ongoing weekly sessions with me.

We’ll meet for one or two sessions, each lasting 50 minutes. These can either be online or in the therapy room. There is no obligation to begin therapy afterwards.

These sessions are about us meeting and thinking about what brings you to therapy. It’s a chance to experience of what I’m like, how I work, and to get a sense if I’m a good fit for you.

You can ask me questions you may have about therapy, and I will talk to you about how I work. This will include my policy on confidentiality, fees, cancellations, and appointment times.

If we decide to work together, we will set up a regular day and time for your weekly therapy session.
